Brass is heavy for its size, which is part of why it feels right on a mantel and why columbaria almost always accept it. Match capacity to body weight before death at roughly one cubic inch per pound, so a 200 cu in brass urn suits an adult up to about 200 lb. Nearly all of these fill through a threaded opening in the base that seals with a washer or a little adhesive, and the smooth panels take engraved names, dates and emblems without trouble.
