3D Eternal Turtle Urn

Turtles carry a long association with patience and endurance, and this design puts one in three-dimensional relief across the front of a wood urn. The shell pattern is the detail worth looking at closely; it is cut deep enough to cast its own shadow. The rest of the body is plain wood, so nothing competes with it.

Inside there is 210 cubic inches of room, matching an adult of about 210 pounds or less. Filling happens from the underside through a removable base. The urn is 9.5 inches wide and 7.75 tall, which fits most mantels and bookshelves without crowding a photograph set beside it.
