Adult Tree Biodegradable Water Burial Urn

Branches and a broad canopy are printed across the top of this floating urn, a tree image rather than a religious one, which suits people who spent their time outdoors. The body is pressed paper, twelve inches long by ten wide and three deep, low enough to sit flat on water.

Two hundred forty cubic inches is the capacity, so it fits an adult of roughly 240 pounds or under. Ashes load through a side opening. Once released the urn floats for a short time, draws water and sinks, and the paper then breaks apart. It also works for a green burial in soil if the family decides against water at the last minute.
