August Light Green Gold Steel Keepsake

Threaded at the top and finished in gold-toned steel, this bead takes its color from a ring of pale green glass, the peridot shade that belongs to August. At five-eighths of an inch across it is among the smallest pieces we carry, and the lightest to wear.

The chamber inside holds a pinch of ashes. That is the honest description: a token amount, filled by hand, with the bulk of the ashes staying in a full-size urn or scattered. Because it threads rather than hinges, there is no clasp to fail, and the seam disappears once the top is seated down.
