Peridot is the August stone, a yellow-green sitting somewhere between olive and lime, and it is the brightest color in this birthstone series. Here it is mounted at the center of a heart cut into a polished stainless steel body one inch tall. That green against mirror-finish steel is the reason people choose this one over a plainer keepsake.
Ashes go in through the top. The amount is small, a token portion well under a cubic inch, which is worth knowing before you order: a full adult set needs an urn sized at roughly one cubic inch per pound of body weight. This piece is a companion to that urn, not a stand-in for it.
