A rope chain twists two strands around each other so the surface catches light along its whole length instead of lying flat. This one is 20 inches, which drops to about mid chest on most adults and clears the head without opening the clasp on most necks. It is sold as an add-on to the cremation pendants and keepsakes on this site.

Cremation jewelry already arrives with a chain, so this is either an upgrade for a piece you are ordering now or a replacement for a chain that has stretched, kinked, or lost its clasp. Twenty inches sits low enough that a pendant can be worn under a collar without showing at work. If you are buying for someone else and do not know their preference, 18 inches is the safer default.
