Two urns fit inside this vault, which is what separates it from the single. It is a gray outer container that goes into the ground first; the urns sit within it and the lid seats over the top. Cemeteries that require an outer container for cremated remains are the reason this exists.

Use it when a couple is being interred together, either at the same time or years apart, in one plot. Check with the cemetery office before ordering: they will tell you whether an outer container is required and give you the internal dimensions your urns need to fall within. Measure both urns at their widest point and compare against the vault's interior before you buy.
