Dover Brown Urn

Taller than most adult urns at 10.75 inches, the Dover carries its volume in height rather than width, which helps when the shelf you have in mind is narrow. The finish is a warm mid-brown over brass, closer to wood in tone than to metal, and it takes an engraved plate without the lettering disappearing into the colour.

Inside there are 228 cubic inches, enough for an adult of roughly 228 pounds or less. That sits a little above the standard 200 cubic inch size, so most people have room to spare. The lid threads off the top for filling. Height is the thing to measure here: plenty of columbarium niches stop short of 11 inches.
