Elk Raku Keepsake

Elk in full antler is the motif here, raised on the surface of a hand-fired Raku vessel five inches tall and five wide. Hunters, and people who spent their lives in elk country, tend to be who this one is bought for. The glaze crackles as the piece cools in open air, so each one differs.

The 60 cubic inch capacity takes about a third of an adult's ashes. It works either as one of several keepsakes shared among family, or on its own for a child or a pet weighing up to roughly sixty pounds. Ceramic belongs on a shelf or in a niche rather than underground, so plan for display.
