Fairhaven Urn

Spun aluminum, not brass, which is the main reason the Fairhaven costs less than the metal urns above it and weighs noticeably less in the hand. The surface is a plain light silver with no motif on it anywhere. The shape is conventional: square base, curved shoulder, lift-off lid.

It holds 200 cubic inches, the standard adult size, matching a person of up to about 200 pounds. Filling is from the top. The lighter weight is a real advantage if the urn will be carried at a service, posted to another state, or held by someone with limited grip, though aluminum does dent more easily than brass if it is dropped.
