Gold Plated Steel Heart Keepsake

Screw-bottom closure is the detail worth knowing on this heart. The threaded plug sits underneath, out of sight, so the polished face stays unbroken. The pendant is gold-plated steel, half an inch across, light enough that it does not swing or catch on a collar.

Inside there is room for roughly a quarter of a cubic inch, a token amount of ashes rather than a whole set. Fill it over a sheet of paper with a small funnel, then tighten the plug by hand. Anyone worried about it working loose can have a jeweler seal the threads with adhesive.
