Black onyx gives this urn a dark, glassy surface with the pale veining that runs naturally through the stone. The proportions are horizontal rather than upright: eleven inches long, seven and a half deep, and seven high, closer to a low chest than to a vase. Each piece varies slightly in veining because the stone is cut, not molded.
At 225 cubic inches it holds the ashes of an adult up to about 225 lb, using the standard one cubic inch per pound of pre-death body weight. The long footprint sits well on a wide mantel or a sideboard, and it is stable enough not to need a stand. The opening type is not listed by the supplier, so message us before ordering if that detail matters to your plans.

Orders placed before 1:00 PM CST, Monday to Friday, ship the same day. Anything after that goes out the next business day. Delivery usually takes another 3 to 7 business days depending on where you are.
Engraved pieces work to the same cutoff, with one difference: the clock starts when you approve the engraving proof, not when you place the order. If your service date is tight, tell us and we will flag it.
