Group ceremonies are what the Laguna is built for: a round paper vessel, eight inches across and five inches tall, released on the water while more than one person takes part. The shape is a shallow bowl rather than a lidded box, so it can be passed hand to hand before it goes in.

It holds 55 cubic inches, which carries a portion rather than a full adult set of ashes. Plan on dividing if the person weighed much over 55 pounds, since a set needs about one cubic inch of room per pound. Most families use it at a lakeside or shoreline service and then let the current take it; the paper draws water and goes down within a few minutes.
