Behind the red face of this brass heart is a small panel held by screws, which is how it fills. The red is deep and slightly warm against the brass at the edge, and the piece stands three and a half inches tall. Nothing interrupts the front of it.
Four cubic inches is the capacity, a portion rather than a full set of ashes. Red gets chosen for a spouse more than for anyone else, and this is often bought in a pair so that two households can each keep a share while the rest is buried or scattered.
