Magestic Wolf Raku Urn

Wolves appear in silhouette against the crackled glaze of this Raku urn, 7.5 inches across and 8 inches tall. The background shifts between copper, smoke gray, and green depending on how the piece came out of the kiln, and the fine crazing over the surface is a result of the rapid cooling Raku uses. The lid sits into the top.

Adult-size and ceramic, this one is made to be displayed rather than buried or carried. A mantel or a shelf with a little clearance around it works best. Fill it by lifting the lid and setting the sealed bag of ashes inside; nothing needs unscrewing, and a small bead of clear silicone will fix the lid down if you want it permanent.
