Mansfield Walnut Urn

Walnut runs darker than oak or cedar, closer to chocolate than to honey, and it keeps that color rather than fading toward grey. This is the same column form as the cedar Mansfield: six inches square, twelve and a half inches tall, loaded from the base. The difference between the two is species and price, not shape or capacity.

Pick walnut if the room it will live in already has dark furniture, or if you want the urn to recede rather than stand out against a light wall. Capacity is 220 cubic inches, for an adult up to roughly 220 pounds. As with any tall urn, measure the vertical clearance of the shelf or niche before ordering. Keep it out of a sunny window, since strong light will lift the color over a few years.
