Maple Leaf Heart Keepsake

Maple leaves are worked across the front of this brass heart, veins and all, in a raised relief you can feel with a thumb. Three inches across and five-eighths deep, it is one of the flatter pieces here. The opening is underneath, closed with a threaded plug.

Five cubic inches holds a portion of the ashes. The shallow depth means it slots into a niche or a shelf that will not take a standing urn, and it lies flat in a memory box if you would rather it were put away somewhere private than displayed in a room.
