Marquette Walnut Urn

Walnut, cut and finished so the dark figure of the wood carries the piece, with squared corners and a lid that sits flush. There is no motif and no applied hardware anywhere on it. Among the wood urns here, this is the one that reads as furniture rather than as a memorial object.

The interior takes 210 cubic inches, suited to an adult up to about 210 pounds. It measures 10 by 6.5 inches and stands 7.5 inches, a low horizontal shape that works on a shelf beside books or under a hanging picture. Filling is done from the base, so nothing shows on the display faces.
