Moose Raku Urn

Moose stand against a treeline on this hand-fired Raku urn, a compact 7.5 by 7.5 inch body standing 7 inches tall. The glaze fires to earthy brown and green with copper flashes and a network of fine crazing across the whole surface. None of the pattern is printed; it forms in the kiln. The lid loads from the top.

This is one of the shorter Raku bodies, still adult-size, and the reduced height helps in a niche or on a shelf where a taller urn would not clear. Ceramic wants a stable indoor spot away from foot traffic. The lid comes off cleanly for filling and sits back down without any hardware.
