October Mothers Love w/ Opal Pink Gold Plated steel

Pink gold plating sets this one apart from the rest of the Mothers Love range, which runs in a yellow gold tone. Against it the October opal reads pale and slightly milky, picking up whatever color happens to be nearby. The pendant stands an inch tall.

It holds a quarter of a cubic inch, filled through an opening in the side rather than the top. That side placement keeps the front of the pendant unbroken, so there is no visible seam near the stone. A quarter cubic inch is a token amount, about half a teaspoon, with the rest of the ashes staying in a full urn.

• Rose-toned plating; keep it away from perfume and hairspray, which mark plating faster than solid metal.
