Roughly the size of a paperback, this small biodegradable urn measures 6 by 5.5 inches and 2 inches deep, finished in a pearl purple paper board. Its material and side-opening construction are the same as the full-size water burial urns, scaled down. Families use it when several relatives are each scattering separately.
Capacity is 59 cubic inches, so it will not take a full adult set of ashes. Applying the one cubic inch per pound rule, 59 cubic inches suits a child, an infant, a pet of up to about 59 pounds, or a divided share of an adult's ashes. Fill it through the side while it lies flat, and keep it dry until the day itself.
- 59 cu in holds a divided portion, not a full adult's ashes
- Also fits a pet of up to roughly 59 lb if you are using it that way
- Order several if the ashes are being divided among family members

Engraved pieces work to the same cutoff, with one difference: the clock starts when you approve the engraving proof, not when you place the order. If your service date is tight, tell us and we will flag it.
