Pewter Heart Keepsake

Heart-shaped and three and a half inches across, this keepsake is brass worked to a soft grey pewter finish. The surface is left plain, so the shape does the work. It stands upright on a shelf without needing a stand.

Capacity is about 5 cubic inches, a token portion of ashes rather than a full set. Most families divide a share among several of these and keep the balance in a full-size urn, bury it, or scatter it. The base unscrews for filling and threads back flush, and a small funnel makes that job cleaner.
