Purple Glass Heart Necklace Keepsake

Purple runs through the glass of this heart in swirls that were worked while the piece was still molten, so the pattern belongs to this pendant alone. It measures an inch from top to point and hangs from a chain. The opening is at the top, closed with a small fitting.

A quarter cubic inch is what fits inside: a pinch of ashes, not a full set. Fill it with a funnel over paper, then have a jeweler seal the threads with adhesive if it will be worn every day. Glass is tougher than it looks, but take it off before sleeping or swimming and it will outlast you.
