Quinlan Lightwood Keepsake

Light-toned wood, turned and finished so the grain reads clearly under the lacquer, makes up the whole of this four-inch keepsake. No metal, no stone, no applied ornament anywhere on it. Each one differs slightly because the grain does, which is the reason people choose wood over steel in the first place.

At four inches tall it holds more than a pendant does but still well short of a full adult set of ashes, so treat it as a share rather than the whole. It suits a bookshelf or a mantel where it will read as an object first and an urn second. Wood does not like damp, so keep it out of a bathroom or an unheated garage.
