Roses are worked into the brass in mother of pearl, pale and iridescent against the metal, and they are the whole point of this piece rather than a border detail. Everything else about it is deliberately quiet: no medallion applied over the top, no contrasting trim.

It stands 10.5 inches tall and holds 220 cubic inches, which fits an adult of up to about 220 pounds by the standard one cubic inch per pound measure.
