Sentinel Black Stone

Modern rooms are where this one usually ends up. The Sentinel is black stone with a plain lid and no ornament at all, 8.5 inches across and 11 inches tall, which is why it sits in our contemporary designs rather than with the traditional shapes.

Capacity is 220 cubic inches, so it suits an adult of up to about 220 pounds. The lid lifts off the top for filling. Black stone reads heavier than it actually is and hides dust well, which counts for more than people expect on an object that is going to stay in the room for a long time rather than be put away.
