September Blue Steel Keepsake

Blue for September, in a stone set flush with a stainless steel face that measures about five eighths of an inch square. Held in the hand it feels heavier than it looks, which is usually the first thing people say about steel keepsakes.

It holds a token amount only. A screw top comes off the back so you can add a small spoonful of ashes, and the rest of what the crematory returns stays with the main urn, is buried, or is scattered. Two or three of these split among adult children is a common order. Fill it slowly, tap the sides to settle the ashes, then close it.
