Shell Pendant

Narrow and upright, this stainless steel shell runs three eighths of an inch wide and an inch and a quarter long, with ribbing worked down the front. Its width is the point: it sits close to the collarbone and disappears under a shirt in a way rounder pendants do not.

The chamber opens at the back and takes about a quarter of a cubic inch, a keepsake amount rather than a full set of ashes. It is a common choice when the ashes are being scattered at sea and a family wants something kept back before the day.
