Sicilian Life Chest

Wood grain is the whole of the decoration on this chest. There is no carving, inlay, or motif to work around, which is the reason it takes an engraved plate more cleanly than the more ornamented chests do. It measures 24 inches wide and 16.5 inches tall and opens from the top.

Dimensionally it lands within half an inch of the Dynasty chest, so the choice between the two comes down to finish rather than size. Either keeps the ashes together with the things that belong with them: service programs, photographs, a watch. Put it somewhere it can be opened, because a chest that has to be moved to be used stops being used.
