Solid ash, pale and straight-grained, makes up the body here, with a Celtic cross set on the front of a low rectangular case. It is wider than it is tall: 10 inches across, 7 inches deep, 6.9 inches high, with the lid seated flush along the top edge.
The interior takes 220 cubic inches, right for an adult up to roughly 220 pounds. It fills from the bottom. That horizontal shape sits well on a mantel next to framed photographs, and it is noticeably steadier than a tall urn if there are children or a cat in the house.
