Timeless Brass Urn

Nothing on this urn competes for attention. It is polished brass, undecorated, with a smooth body and a lid that seats flush against the shoulder. The same shape is also sold in a pewter finish, and this is the version where you see the metal itself.

The 228 cubic inch capacity covers an adult of up to roughly 228 pounds, a little more than the 200 cubic inch standard most urns are built to. It opens at the top. Bare brass is the easiest finish to live with over decades, because scratches burnish out instead of showing as chips, which matters if the urn is going to be handled.
