Cardboard and plastic sounds unpromising until you know what the urn is for. This is a burial and water piece, built to hold its shape while it is carried and then to break down once it is in the ground or in the water. Nothing about it is meant to last on a shelf.

Capacity is 220 cubic inches, which covers an adult up to about 220 pounds. It opens at the top, so the ashes can be transferred in at the graveside or at home beforehand. If it is going into water, launch it from a low deck or a beach rather than dropping it from height, and give it a moment to settle before it starts to soften.
