Turtle Steel Pendant Urn

A turtle rendered in stainless steel, an inch across the shell and an inch top to bottom, with the pattern of the carapace worked into the surface. The chamber loads from the back, so the front stays unbroken by a screw or a seam. Turtles tend to be chosen for someone patient, someone who loved the water, or a diver.

It holds a quarter of a cubic inch, which is a token measure and not a full set of ashes. That is enough for a small spoonful, or for sand, or a trimming of hair. Steel handles daily wear better than plated pieces, so it can be showered in and slept in without dulling. It comes on a chain and is filled by you at home with the funnel supplied; a jeweler can add adhesive to the closure if you would rather it never open again.
