Windsor Wood Urn

Set low and long at 9.5 by 6 inches and only 5.5 inches high, the Windsor is the flattest of the wood urns here. That profile matters if the urn is going into a columbarium niche, where height is usually the limiting dimension. Edges are rounded and the grain runs along the length.

Inside there are 210 cubic inches, enough for an adult up to about 210 lb on the one cubic inch per pound measure. The base is a screw plate: back it off, place the bag inside, then screw it home again. Because it closes firmly and the shell is solid wood, it holds up as a burial urn inside a vault.
