Metal Urns

Metal is the default for good reasons: it lasts, it holds an engraving cleanly, and cemeteries almost always accept it in a niche. Size on body weight before death at about one cubic inch per pound, so a 190 lb adult wants at least 190 cu in. Most fill through a threaded opening in the base, sealed with a washer or a little adhesive. If the urn is going into the ground rather than onto a shelf, metal will outlast wood or ceramic by a wide margin.
