Aluminum is the easiest full-size urn to handle. An adult piece weighs very little empty, so it travels well and sits safely on a shelf without anchoring. Size it by weight: allow roughly one cubic inch of capacity for every pound the person weighed before death, so a 200 cu in urn suits an adult up to about 200 lb. Most open through a threaded lid or a base panel, and the flat surfaces engrave cleanly if you want a name and dates added.
